In law , the prestige factor matters to general counsels of corporations who need to justify the exorbitant hourly billing, so they seek out big firms with partners and associates with Harvard/Yale/Stanford etc pedigrees.
In business, don't have a clue.

Nope. But it depends on what you mean by “matter.” If you mean for practicing as a doc and making great money in the specialty of your choice then no. If you mean “matter” as in for prestigious residency spots and future prestigious faculty appointments then yes, but still not as much so as those other fields.
