I'm an American citizen, born in the middle east, but of Indian origin.
I am now 23 years old and I had a lot of instability in college and attended five or six colleges. My grades were horrible. I am getting As right now in the prereqs but still I don't think it can ever amend two years of horrible grades(I didn't even take the exams, barely attended class, and didn't withdraw on time) I fell into a downward spiral of depression.
I'm thinking going to India would be a breath of fresh air and a new perspective. I have been there about 10 times, at first yes its hard to adjust but I think you can adjust pretty quickly. I sometimes regreted coming back from India when I went there on vacation. I was thinking of going somewhere like mumbai or delhi.
My parents were thinking for over 5 years now to send me there. I have two sibling in med school in US but not even close to their accomplishments.
The other option I was thinking of, was finishing two years of undergrad and get my BS here in the US, trying to earn straight As from now on, and go to medical school overseas in probably Eastern Europe or Australia (The MD program)
I know in India the med students usually start after high school, and the program is 5.5 years including 1 year of clinicals or something.
