General opinion ?

Took the first one the other day. They are pretty tough and will hurt the ego big time. Verbal is terrible, but PS and BS are pretty good.

Not bad, I would definitely use them before AAMC, but after you have a good grasp on the material.

GS 1-4: verbal is useless, but BS and PS are pretty good (lots of calculations in PS)

GS 7-10: VR gets much harder, BS is solid (except for Ochem), but PS is way too hard.

Overall, the BS is good on each (except for Ochem), the PS gets ridiculously hard (should only be used as a sectional), and VR is not representative of the actual exam difficulty (supplement with EK).

I used GS CBTs mainly for timing on BS and to increase the speed of my PS calculation time. The CBT format is different than the real deal (Tutuorial is not the same as AAMC, which are the exact same as the MCAT).

Hope that helps, good luck.

thnx for your inputs ! 🙂

I think since they are good BS/PS practice I will buy them...and about the ego...almost crushed🙄 already.

So If GS verbal section is non representative of real thing shud I just skip it and do sciences only?

I used GS when I ran out of practice material and it was too soon before the test to order books.

PS: calculation heavy, yet too much of the same stuff we see all the time (good PS practice will have interesting passages on topics you never heard of).

VR: easy reading.

BS: expects more knowledge (esp. physiology) than you really need for the test. Best section in GS (except orgo).

HARD. These tests are hard. But, they can be a good source of practice if you have used most of the other sources. I personally recommend that you use these in the early stages of your preparation, because there are more realistic practice tests out there, namely AAMC, Berkeley Review, Princeton Review, and Kaplan (most of them).

You may want to look at Ebay to buy these because they are sold cheaper there.

50 bones for me

I guess I am going to buy them for sciences sake will skip VR ...will look on EBAY for sure .I am a retaker... already used my aamc's (except aamc 10) & TPR'S and dont have access to Kaplan anymore. I am planning to use GS and TBR this time around and use AAMC 10 as the last one before final day.

Will use them in initial stages ....thnx guys 👍

Yeah good luck and let me know how you do on them. I am taking the fourth one in the morning.
