Hi everyone, I am a non traditional student wondering if I've done enough (esp in terms of GPA repair) to throw in an application this upcoming cycle.
MCAT: 512 w/balanced sections
cGPA: 3.57, upward trend from 3.3->3.8 senior year
sGPA: 3.34, upward trend from 3.0->3.65 senior year, should be 3.4 at the end of the semester if everything goes well
post bacc GPA: 4.0 in 28 credits, 25 of which were science courses, over the course of 1.5 years
Currently working full time as a research assistant in a medical school academic lab, I've been in the position for 1.5 years. One publication with my name on it, possibly two by the summer. I've been taking a manageable 5-12 credits every semester while working 40 hours.
500-600 hours of patient care (CNA in a nursing home)
80 hours ER volunteering
150 hours of other community service between being at the same school for over a year (yeah consistency) and random other opportunities that pop up.
40 hours of shadowing in different disciplines
MD LOR (my boss) and DO LOR
other factors that might be of interest: hard science/humanities double major, white, not from a rural area
Thanks!
