I found the Lange Immuno book a very good read. It has tons of diagrams and flowcharts that really helped. In fact, I believe this book was the basis of Immuno being one of my strongest subjects on the Step I.

I don't know about any online resources, but Concise Medical Immunology by Doan is a good text. Our immunology prof was terrible, but I was able to practically teach it to myself with that.

We used the Abbas Intro to Immunology text. It's very basic and has lots of cartoons to help visualize the processes.

It's the size of a BRS book, so you could easily get through the whole book and supplement with more specific details from your profs.

I second that. we have a short immuno, heme, infection unit. i was able to read this in a few hours after I had most of it understood, it is really like the little picture book of immuno which is how immuno should be done. I have the second edition, its called Basic Immunology(they make a bigger book for it)

my bad. it is called Basic Immunology.

The textbook by Abbas is excellent. It is great for medical school use but I even know immunology graduate students who use it.

I was looking at the High-Yield book as a supplement, but I'm not sure how good it is. Do you guys have any other suggestions for Immuno?

I think the best 3 hour read I have seen was by Sompayrac- How the Immune System Works.

It (obviously) doesn't give all the nitty gritty details, but has good illustrations and builds a firm foundation from which you can add.

Plus, its cheap. About 10 bucks on amazon.

Lange Immuno book is great, before reading that or whichever textbook you decide to go with quickly read How the immune system works to get the big picture

second/third/fourth/wherever we are with that the How the Immune System Works recommendation. an easy read, good for concepts and then fill in the details through other resources. I also have the Abbas Cellular and Molecular Immunology and it's fairly understandable- also has pretty good pictures for those of us who like visuals.
