Hi everyone!

Ive recently begun training for a triathlon and half-marathon. I usually listen to podcasts when I run/bike because lets be honest, running >1hour is pretty boring and I need something to distract me, but I'm running out of stuff to listen to.

Anyone know any good podcasts? Im particularly interested in history (what you missed in history class is one of my favvvs) and health/public health/epi

36 questions - fiction, musical, all around great time
Ear hustle - podcasts about prison life and is done by prisoners in San Quentin
Missing Richard Simmons - Richard Simmons, the exercise guru from the 80s, was missing and they try to find him haha

i also recently got into podcasts for my long runs!

not history related, but S-Town was an incredible and really compelling (nonfiction) narrative, I love Invisibilia (a psych-esque exploration of why people do what they do), and I just started Dirty John (another narrative, if it's not clear I love those).

If you want fun historical topics/odd stuff that is lighthearted I recommend Timesuck with Dan Cummins. His most recent stuff is better than the very early.

Also partial to EMCrit for medical stuff.

bump

a new one (there's only like 3 episodes so far) that I've started to eagerly await the next episode of is called "strange daze"

each episode is basically a dramatic acted out story of an anesthesia case gone wrong. the host is an anesthesiologist named frank sweeny

highly recommended. super entertaining

Last podcast on the left is legitimately the most entertaining podcast I have ever listened to

Definitely check it out if you like true crime, cults, serial killers, etc
