Good Questions to Ask Interviewer

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Whatever concerns you or is on your mind.

I'm sure you have a lot, this is a huge decision after all. Don't ask something just for the sake of asking. BS can be smelled a mile away anyway...

You ask them what you want to know...

I don't have an answer for the OP but for anyone with dental school interview experience:
How many questions is too many questions?
And is it inappropriate to ask questions about the schools NBDE pass rate or match rate or attrition percentage?

While I don't really have an answer to any of your questions, but when I had my interview, most people were in there for 20-25 minutes. I was there for 45 asking questions, for what it's worth. I feel like asking more questions (if they are not questions that can be found online, like faulty:student ratio, etc.) means you are more interested in the school. In my personal opinion, 45 minutes is the perfect time, and an hour max. Of course, many other factors play in but that would be the general rule I'd play b y.

As for questions about board pass rates... I asked them that. It's an important question, because if the pass rate is 50%, then something is up with the school. Unless that answer can be found online, like their website or something, then I'd go right ahead and ask. I even asked my interviewer what he thought would make a competitive student, and what distinguishes their school from other schools. Ballsy? Yes. Do I regret it? Maybe. I'll let you know on Dec1st
