Here's the scenario:

I want to get into one and only one school. I feel I have what it takes to get into this school and am almost positive I will do so. I am planning on taking the Spring semester off from school, work full-time, save money and take a trip to Europe during July. Also, I have enough classes to apply to several schools (currently applying to three), because like I said, I'm not 100% sure I will get into this school. If I don't get in, I have two others to work with and if those fail as well I can always work my way back up after my vacation. What are your opinions?

I'm in the same boat as you. I think that you are doing the right thing. Personally, I've called my #1 school choice several times, attended a few open houses, talked to the Admissions Coordinator and Dean of Students at the open houses, over the phone, and corresponded with them via email.

Also, my application is in with all of my schools now, so I'm just waiting for the call or email for an interview. So, there really is not much more I can do at this point until they contact me (these schools start interviews in late October).

If you know your stats are good, particularly with the schools you are applying to, you should be fine.

I'd rather not say... lol. It gets real competitive this time of year.
