Hey guys,
I have a question and maybe someone can help. All the help would be much appreciated. I got accepted at Jefferson, yet I am moving to Ohio. However, I did not apply to ohio state, because I did not think this move was an option. Evidently, it has become one that I might be forced to do. Is there anyway to transfer from jefferson as a "going to be first year student" to ohio as a "wannabe first year student"? Has anyone heard about this, or know someone who has done this successfully? If not from jefferson to ohio state, anywhere. Please let me know what I should do. Any information would be grateful.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand his situation? If you've been admitted to Jefferson, why not move to Philly? Many of us have gotten into schools that require us to relocate. Are you married, and your family is moving to OHIO?

Yeah i don't really get it either. But I'm pretty sure you can't transfer into a first year class.

Basically, my girlfriend of 5 and 1/2 years got accepted to Ohio State school of veterinary medicine and wanted me to move out there with her. Just basically wondering if a switch from one school to another is possible? any suggestions??

defer for a year and reapply, or go to jefferson for a couple years and try to transfer, but first check that ohio takes transfers--not all do.

yeah a switch is possible, but you are going to have to go to jefferson for at least 1 year first. plus you will have to marry this lady friend of yours. the schools won't let you transfer just because your girlfriend/significant other goes there - trust me i tried that. and even in that limited circumstance, transfering is not always allowed. i would give the folks at jefferson a call (or look on the website) and find out what the policy is. then figure out if ohio state even accepts transfer students (many schools don't accept a single transfer - for any reason - bitches!)

i am sorry but what the *&^% were you thinking? didn't you two discuss this possibility when applying to schools? 🙄

I think either you are going to have to suck it up and live without each other, or one of you is going to have to give up their acceptance. Poor planning on the parts of not coordinating cities. IE if she applied to OSU, you apply to OSU, If you apply in philly, she applies everywhere in philly, etc. And just to agree, you are not going be be able to transfer into OSU pre M1, they have their own applicants to accept!

bro, you are one loyal boy-friend or your girl must be smoking hot. 👍

be careful about deferring though. some schools allow you to defer ONLY if you do not apply to other schools the following year.

Change some to most schools.
