So I got a few interviews coming up and I realized that I never updated those schools that I decided I will not be taking a class this semester. I graduated college this summer, and signed up for a sociology class at a local college because a mistake on MSAR led me to believe this was a required course for a school (turns out it wasn't). Anyways, I dropped the class before it even began, and I didn't send updates to any schools about this. Should I have updated them? Can they rescind any future acceptance because I failed to complete a course I said I would? It really doesn't seem like a big deal, but you never know

What is the best course of action now?

Unless the class was required at a school that accepts you, it's no big deal and you need not inform schools of the change in plans. Entering Future coursework into an application is not binding.
