Hi there,

I got a score of 89%avg.
Anat-91%
physio-biochem-83%
micro-path-91%
DADH-90%
ECE-3.22
TOEFL yet to give on jan 6th.

I gave my examz on dec 4th and got the results on dec 26th.
Now i don't know where i stand with this score, do i have a chance of getting a seat in any of the schools? Can anybody tell me which universities i should apply for, your help will be greatly appreciated.

Congrats! Thats a good score. I have a few seniors who got in easily with upper 80s. You can compensate for the GPA with work exp. Do you have US work exp?

Actually I took the exam for the first time in july and then I scored 85%.
I applied to NYU and BU.
But I am invited to NYU for an interview with the previous score.
I havent scheduled my interview yet becoz I will go after they get my improved score.
I think if they called me for an interview with 85% that means we have chances to get with 88 or 89.

Thanzx for the advices. Im planing to apply for few schools now. I don't know whether this score can fetch me a seat in 2 yrs course. This is the first time i took my examz. Right now i will apply for this score and will wait. Hope to get a seat by gods grace. I think few have got seat wth this score too, so even i will try my luck.

Friends please note, Those scores are in old pattern , taken before December 31,2006.

As per the discussion on sdn and my personal experience, i have seen that 88 score in new pattern is equal to 93 in old pattern. .....
However national average/ mean is not changed much but % of people who got score more than 90 % are drastically decreased after 2006. We all are aware of the fact that the exams and entry in the program is getting tougher by each passing day.


This is just my personal opinion, in no way i want to hurt anyone's feeling who scored in old pattern, as they were the best at their times .
My friend on SDN may or may not agree on it.

can u tell what material u stdy for the part 1 and how many hrs ? also did u give comp/written exam and how different it is from the perivious exam.

i have already given part 1 2 times but did not reach enough score
to apply different universities though i passed the test twice my question aim giving part 1 again short if god forbid i dont get above 85 again do i have to wait for 1 yr or tis rule is applicable to those who fail all 3 times?
