Sorry if someone already responded to this, but I called CO and they said they do not screen.

just got UT memphis in the mail, hometown love is always good, the secondary is simple but you have to fill it out by hand 😱 ...My hand writing sucks to say the least, would they be mad if I had someone else write it in???? 🙄
 
Wanted to throw out there for any Ohio applicants that I got NEOUCOM's secondary last week, apparantly they screen.

I am in the same boat as you. I only got an email saying that they received my paper secondary, and all of my letters were in more than 2 weeks ago. I called them and they told me to wait at least another week. looks like they are pretty backed up...
 
Thank you UCSD! I was feeling unloved but you came through for me. Now I only have to hear from UCLA, UCSF, U Kansas, and U Washington. Back to actually finishing the secondaries. 😀

Yes, I got a secondary from them on 08/02/05. I guess they screen since they said "after preliminary review.. bla bla bla." I haven't touched their secondary yet though.

Oh, and they changed their name on June 8th to "Medical University of Ohio."

I haven't either. I've been stuck on this "cultural competence" question for two weeks, had to put it on the backburner cos I'm working on 4 UC secondaries right now! 😱
 
Any out of state applicants get UCSD's secondary yet?

Yes on the 8/12, but I had to look on my status page to find out - they never emailed me.
 
U Wisc secondary today! (8/19)... first one from a school that screens!

anybody still not heard from colorado?

I got one too. Do you think it's worth it for us Out-of-staters to submit a secondary here? What about at Rush?
 
Nope, no word from Colorado here. Not sure why they are not sending out all the secondaries at once, since they don't screen. I am not sure I will bother filling it out though - they only take <30 people out of state a year, and the first year of tuition will really hurt.

Is one of those four -Wright State? I javen't heard from them yet- just wondering.....
 
I got the MCO (MUO) secondary 8/2 and got the email saying I was complete today, so hopefully things will start moving with them soon! I will be so thrilled if I can get my 1st allo school interview invite 🙂

i just got the email today of receipt of application, how long before i recieve secondary/rejection??

I received the receipt e-mail on 8/2 and the secondary app on 8/3, so it should probably come soon.

How's that paranoid android thing working out for you by the way? 🙂

I'm trying to decide if I should bother to submit the MUO app though. First of all, I don't know what to say about their "Describe a time when you exhibited cultural competence" question and secondly, they don't take that many out-of-state people so I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend the $ and send in my secondary.

App Complete on 8/8

I got the MCO amcas receipt email and secondary both on 8/2 and got the complete email on 8/18.

For instate they seem to cut off at 3.0/24 and for out of state it's 3.5/27.

Can't be 3.5/27 for out of state. I'm proof of that. 🙂
 
Igot a 2ndary from MUO today and I don't have stats above 3.5/27 and I am out-of-state

I just feel bad for the person who had to put all our names on a sticker and affix to each view book.

I got it today. It's pretty nice. I wish more schools would make a serious effort to present themselves well. So far I've only received fancy brochures from Albany, Dartmouth and Rochester.
 
Anyone else get the that the University of Minnesota secondary. I recieved it two days ago. Looks like I've got about 7 essays to write for that. NICE

Seriously! I thought Albany's viewbook and the PDF that Mount Sinai sends you after your app is submitted were really cool in this totally dehumanizing process. those are waaay better than "Dear Applicant, now that we have your money please do not call us"

are you serious?? i'm still waiting on it. my brother applied there for the simple fact that there were NO essays 4 years ago and he ended up GOING there...but 7 essays? eesh...

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has gotten a secondary from University of Washington, UNC, Michigan State University, or University of Pittsburg.

Also is anyone else having trouble logging into Cincinnatti's secondary? I can't seem to figure out how to log in. I always go in circles and when I finally get to a log-in screen it doesn't recognize me.

what is OHSU's link and password this year? Is it the same as last year?

Don't expect one from UW unless you applied MD/PhD. Its almost impossible to get in if you are not a Washington or WICHE state resident.

Did you guys, who were waiting for HMS to send their secondaries, ever hear back???????// I'm asking cuz my friend told me today that she had a friend who said he got secondaries from HMS, Hopkins, UF, USF, and Miami.
