After I submit, do I have to worry about my GPA?

if I get a 3.0 this semester, could I lose my (hopeful) acceptance?

Also, do schools calculate their class profile GPA's after they graduate, or when they apply.

Thank you!

You're not technically accepted until you finish your undergrad. Using that logic I would assume that the schools use THAT GPA when composing their class profile. I would also assume that if one has a strong GPA in their application, but finish undergrad with a not-so-strong GPA, then that could be a red flag and ultimately could hurt your chances of an acceptance.

Maybe someone else could comment and share some policies/procedures on this topic.

No. Get a C or above and no school will rescind your acceptance. You have to be accepted and paid your deposit though.

I'm sure there would be some sort of remidation with poor grades after acceptance.

Depends on how poor. As long as you have taken all required courses and gotten the minimum they require, they won't do anything if you get all Cs in your last semester. Of course they could if they wanted to, but practically speaking >/=C wouldn't matter and they won't rescind.

Schools expect some drop off in grades after you get accepted. Just don't blow everything off and get a D or F.

OP mentioned after he SUBMITS though. That's different than acceptance.
The way I understand it is that you have to keep updating the schools with your grades, until you get accepted. If you aren't accepted anywhere at end of fall semester, then they'll want to see those grades. If you were borderline, a strong showing would be much better in the middle of application season than a 3.0.

Which is why I said, "You have to be accepted and paid your deposit though.". Obviously if you do poorly before you're accepted they could just not accept you. Its no problem for them at that point, they're doing the same thing to thousands of others.

I haven't had mine rescinded, and let's just say my last semester really sucked. I passed all of my classes, but I really got burnt out towards the end of my last semester and got a whopping 3 C's. 1 of them was in PE (embarrassing!)
