I just got my GPA verified and I want to see if my situation is common or not. I took an AP calc class in high school and duel enrolled through my local community college and got a C. I also got a 4 on the ap test so i would have received credit whether i duel enrolled or not. But that C got added to my total GPA and science GPA which I wasnt expecting because I took the classes in high school and its decreased my GPA from a 3.9 to a 3.7. Should I call aadsas and talk to them about this or is this just how it is and they will count it no matter what?

So did you get a C in your calc high school class or your community college class? Cc classes will count towards your GPA even if you took it during high school years. However AP Calc shouldn't have counted towards GPA unless it was taught at a cc through your high school (as in it will be on the cc transcript)

Either way with your scores and GPA, you're sitting pretty man. Sit back and enjoy the interviews!

It was during high school when I didnt really care and didnt really know what I wanted to do, the thing that gets me is, if I hadnt duel enrolled I still would have got credit without a C on my transcrips cuz I got a 4 on the AP test, so I think duel enrollment screwed me. I didnt take it at a cc just through one, on my aadsas its under undergraduate, even though I was still in high school, is that right? I just think its bs a class in hs screws my total gpa by .2 which is alot

bro ,does the C appear on the community college transcript that you sent out? If it does then it counts. I understand that it sucks, but there are lots of things that aren't perfect with the system.

Such a terrible ordeal to have to go through. Are you sure a single C made a 0.2 difference in your gpa?

bro, I suppose it could for your science GPA if you didn't take that many sciences courses to begin with, and if your science GPA was really high.

Im only a sophmore in college but during Senior year in highschool i was in an emt course with the community college. I recent took english 2 there and got an A. While looking at the transcript, it shows the class and i got a B in the class and i also find out its a 6 CREDIT COURSE! I was wondering if it was going to be verified as well?

i had the exact same issue, i was duel enrolled for my AP calc class as well. but yea, all courses that are on your university's transcript count toward your gpa including cc courses you took in high school. it sucks i know -___-

you could try contesting it though, i didn't bother.

There is NO WAY a single C can drop your cGPA by .2 unless you're like below 50 credits or something... but since you are applying I'm assuming that you have close to 100 or so...

it also could be he had a 3.90 and it dropped to a 3.79. Leaving out that last decimal place makes it sound like .2, when it could be .11.

You should've stuck with HS classes if you didn't want your COLLEGE GPA to be affected by COLLEGE courses.
