Hey guys,
what exactly goes into your GPA as far as the AAMC is concerned? Someone asked a good question about math classes and no one has responded yet.

Read the AMCAS Instruction Booklet. p 9, bottom left: BCPM/A Code Column

It is your decision in the gray areas. Math courses (M) belong here, regardless of department. Statistics is taught in math, biology, psychology, sociology, and maybe some other departments. Statistics is Math, so it belongs in the science GPA.

Physical Anthropology is biological in content, so it belongs in BCPM.

It is your call, but if you stretch it too far to squeeze in some A grades and/or squeeze out some C grades, of course that will be noticed. Even if those courses are actually not removed from the BCPM and recalculated, you can expect a mental recalculation when considering your application.
