I am considering applying to Oklahoma State University's DO Program.

I struggled the first few years of college and made several bad grades, but have done well on my last several years.

I understand that if you fail a course and retake the course only the latest grade is calculated. When looking at school's websites are the GPA averages based on this calculation or the calculation of all coursework.

I would be competitive if the posted GPAs are the ones based on academic forgiveness, but not if that is the total GPA calculations.

Thank you for any information.

DO replaces grades while MD does not.

So if you're applying to OSU's DO program, consider only the grade of the retaken course in your GPA calculations.
