Im sure this has been tackled somewhere in this forum, but I had a few specific questions. I am a pre-dent that is interested in DO. My GPA is Horrid . I was looking into how DO calculates my GPA, I've been told that all grades are shown, but only the latest retake is calculated, right? well what if the courses were taken at 2 different universities, which gives them different course numbers? How would the system go about recognizing it as a retake? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Yes, you are correct. As long as the courses are equivalent you will be fine. I took classes over at a different university also. 👍

Does this work for TX schools too? TX has a different application, where MD and DO is the same application.

I have been trying to see if any kinesiology courses are calculated in the science gpa, but have gotten nowhere. I emailed the application company that handles it but they gave me some vague answer that didn't even answer it. If there is any kinesiology majors out there that know could you please reply with what courses or type of courses. I was thinking maybe biomechanics or neural anatomy.

Yeah, you can't see the instructions without starting an app, which is lame. Although you can start an app and not submit it, pretty much whenever you want, so you can see what you need to be ready for.

Short answer: kinesiology is categorized as "other science" which is included in the science GPA.

Long answer:

"The Science category would include all courses with subjects of Biology, Organic, Biochemistry, Other Science, Physics, and Inorganic Chemistry. Non-science would include courses with subjects of Math, English, Behavioral Sciences, and Non-science. Use the grade values given above for the AACOMAS grading system. Courses with AACOMAS grades of Pass, Non-pass, and Advanced Placement are not included in GPA calculations. When computing repeated courses, only count the last time you repeated the course. Calculations should be rounded to decimal places."
