Hi SDN,

I had a few questions about GPA..

1. I was wondering how BCP GPA was calculated. Does BCP include only Intro to Biology, Intro to General Chem, Intro to Organic Chem, and Intro to Physics?

2. Does sGPA include math classes like Cal 3 as well? I did poorly in that class, but hopefully it doesn't affect my sGPA too much if it is included.

3. Also, will GPAs include +/-?

Please help. Thank you!

BCP GPA is any bio, chem or physics course (genetics, orgo, etc.) Yes science GPA includes math courses. Your GPA will be calculated both with and without +/-. All this information can be found on the ADEA website. Here is the GPA info http://www.adea.org/dental_educatio...nstructions/Documents/2013GPACalculations.pdf

Thank you very much Hawkteeth!

When you say that the GPA will be calculated with and without +/- what does that mean? Care to expand on that?

You will have two GPA calculations. One will be your GPA including the +/- system (e.g. A- = 3.67) and the other will be your GPA without +/- (e.g. an A- = A = 4.0).
Dental schools will then evaluate you based on the GPA calculation method they prefer.
