Hi Everyone!

I have searched the threads as well as google and I haven't been able to find a GPA calculator that has both +/- options as well as no +/- options.

I went to a CC and took a ton of classes. The CC has no +/- and also was on the semester system. I now have transferred and we have +/- and are on the quarter system. I haven't been able to find a GPA calculator that has both options as well as semester and quarter units. Can I do both separately and then average them somehow? Also, all the ones that i have found don't have nearly enough room for all of my classes.

Am I just not understanding something?

Thank you!

I would just convert your semester units to quarter units before calculating it (semester to quarter is x1.5). Use a calculator that uses +/- and ignore any +/- for your CC classes. So a 3 unit class that you got an A- in would be 4.5 quarter units with a 4.0.

I don't know what you've already tried, but how about this? It accomodates both semester and quarter systems and converts them.

AMCAS GPA calculator: AMCAS GPA Calculation Spreadsheet

AMCAS grade conversion guide (don't know if you need it or not, but just in case): https://www.aamc.org/students/download/181676/data/amcas_grade_conversion_guide.pdf

Thank you so much! I will give this one a try. I feel kind of embarrassed that I didn't think to go straight to the source, I just was searching on school websites instead of going straight to the AMCAS website and kept on getting more and more confused. Forgive me, I'm rather new to this!

Thank you again :luck:

This is very helpful, thank you so much. I have never done the GPA conversion or calculator before, and am nervous now that I'm actually doing it :xf:
