Hope you guys can help me out here.
Im from Australia, and over here our GPA is calculated on a scale of 7. I went to some site and converted my GPA to a scale of 4 and was shock at my awful results!!! My lousy results were due to a failure of one module, and despite repeating the module and getting a B on that, my F grade is still counted into my GPA.
I was told that in the States you guys do things differently; a failed module can be replaced with another grade if you repeat the module, and the fail grade will also be omitted from the GPA. Is that true?
If that is the case, should I highlight my predicament in my applications to the grad schools and tell them to omit the result of the fail module?
Any input will be appreciated!!
