Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows how colleges convert letter grades into the number grades we use as our gpa (3.0, 4.0, etc). For some reason I can't find anyone who knows, maybe someone here does....
Thanks😱

A+, A : 4.0
A- : 3.7
B+: 3.3
B: 3.0
B- : 2.7
C+: 2.3
C: 2.0
C- : 1.7
D+ : 1.3
D: 1.0 and so on and so forth.

Thanks alot jlee for the help, I really appreciate it....one more question if you dont mind...how are letter grades combined and then converted to numbers?
ex: (A) + (A-) = ??
Im just worried about grades with finals so close!!!!😕

4.0(3) + 3.7(3) = 23.1 Divided by 6 = 3.85

This assumes that both classes are worth 3 credits each.

OOOHHHH i see. Simple enough. Thanks alot, I really appreciate it. Good luck to everyone on their finals!!!
