Among the various selection factors for Dental Schools,
which plays the biggest role? GPA, DAT, LOR or EC (including dental shadowing)?

I have a strong GPA (3.95), DAT score (AA 23, Reading Com 23, PAT 22)
and ~60 hours of dental shadowing.

But the problem is that my LOR will not be impressive (most likely generic
cuz the class size is very big) and ECs are not that great ( no research
done in the past).

This summer I am planning on applying to UPenn, Colum and a couple of
Canadian schools.

What are my chances? ECs and LOR more weighted than DAT and GPA?

Please give me a piece of advice!

Thanks

These are problem areas. your gpa and DAt are way above the averages for schools, so no one will accept you because they all think you are too good for them ( stop being so great)...try dropping some of ur stats to a more reasonable 3.6, and a 20AA, then you have a chance.

Start looking at other career options. Good chance dentistry is out.

With that stats you have nothing to worry about.
