WHat is the average gpa for people accepted into nursing programs (ADN or BSN) in the DFW area?

Northlake is the satelitte campus of El Centro. You make one application to EL Centro and request a site. The GPA req is the same.
Here is the weblinks:

Brookhaven used to be the El Centro sattilite center, but they have their own program now. Last I heard their req GPA was high too.... I am really not sure what it is.

IMHO, El Centro/Northlake is the best ADN program in DFW and for miles around. They are very well respected. By association Brookhaven is still right up their.

Truthfully, all the Dallas schools have a high GPA requirement. Tarrant County and North Central Texas have decent programs too.

The trick to El Centro, if you have all the prereq's and apply really early you might get in. Even if you are past the deadline, and are retaking prereq's, you should still shoot for it. They use a computerized GPA matching system to pick candidates. The nursing program admissions director told me that they often have spaces after the date because folks go elsewhere or can't attend. The don't publish that though.

Thanks so much for the information! I really appreciate it. I have a friend currently taking his prereqs to get in but he's really discouraged since his gpa is around a 3.0 (maybe lower)

He is looking into schools a little far out from Dallas like Weatherford and a school in Trinity Valley. Do you know anything about their applicant pool, like the average GPA for a class? I've tried to do internet searches but it seems as though theya re secretive with the information. I figure that if he applies to a lot of places he's bound to get in somewhere.
