My college offers an option of credit/no credit for up to 3 classes throughout undergrad that do not count toward GPA, and in my first semester I used one for my first year seminar. I ended up not receiving credit for the class, but it doesn't count toward my college-calculated GPA. According to the college, my GPA is 3.74. If I include the no credit as a failure, that GPA drops to a 3.3. I just finished my first year, so it's having a disproportionate impact on my GPA, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows how a class that is graded like this contributes to GPA on AMCAS/AACOMAS.
tl;dr how do credit/no credit classes impact GPA on medical school application platforms?
