Hello Everyone,

Bit of background. I graduated the Summer of 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science but wanted to take some extra classes that some schools required/recommend. These included immunology, anatomy, and microbiology.

I took these classes through an extension program offered by my alma mater. Extension allows you to take any random classes you want but you have last priority in enrollment (someone please correct me if I am wrong but I don't think this qualifies as a post-bac)

My many question is how is my GPA going to be calculated? I got As in all my extension classes and am wondering if those grades are going to boost my undergrad GPA or are they going to be calculated separately as if I took a Post-Bac program?

Will schools see two separate GPAs? One undergrad GPA and one extension GPA?

Any help is much appreciated 😀.

I talked to my school in the past and they said it might be possible to transfer my extension classes onto my official transcript but I am not sure what the ADEA AADSAS guidelines are. This seems to be a very specific circumstance.

What you are doing IS a post-bacc, even if it's not officially called that. Since you took these classes at the same school you went to undergrad, I would assume that the grades would be on your transcript with the rest of your undergrad courses

AADSAS will count the classes as post-bacc, but it combines the grades with your undergrad classes to calculate your total gpa

Thank you for the reply Dr. doom awesome name 😀. That will help boost my GPA a bit which is really nice and needed.

When I look at my unofficial transcript those 3 classes I took don't show up.

I have to log onto my extension account to see the grades. But I think you're right once I request my official transcript they should hopefully be put together.
