the first semester of my freshman year was hard for me personally and unfortunately my grades reflected this. I transferred 2nd semester to my current school and will be graduating this year with a 3.8 overall GPA and around a 3.8 Science GPA. My GPA just got calculated today *app complete 7/31 for those of you wanting to know timelines 🙂 * and my beautiful science GPA is down to a 3.4!!🙁 I repeated all of my courses from my original school *didnt transfer any credits* except one because I switched majors and did not have to, so I have a big C- 👎 for advanced genetics calculated into my science GPA. Basically I am wondering if schools will look at your individual grades/semester GPAs or if they look basically at the total science GPA when reviewing your app, *MCAT 23!!!* Thanks! sorry this is so long 😕

ok so i looked again at my calculated GPA and then tried calculating it myself and im coming up with 2 different numbers, oh the confusion! How exactly do they calculate GPA *i know there are templates under the FAQ section but my school is on the quarter system so this doesnt work for me🙁*?? Thanks!🙂

Do D.O. schools only take the HIGHEST grade for a repeated class, or the last grade you got (might not be the highest grade) after repeating a class.

For example, if a person got a B the first time and then got a C the second time; would they calculate the first grade, the B since it was the highest grade for the class.

Thanks.

They take the latest not the highest.
