I plan to retake my biochemistry class over the summer, but I will not be able to retake it at my university because it is not being offered this summer. The biochemistry course I took during the Fall was a 3 hour class. Some biochemistry classes at other universities count as 4 hours. Since DO schools recalculate your GPA when you retake a class, does it matter if the class you retake isn't equivalent in hours to the class you originally took?
