Don't worry about pulling the GPA up, but rather focus on becoming a more attractive applicant. I got in last year with a 3.55 and 17/18 DAT---but I did all kinds of things outside of school that helped me to get in. Also, focus on having a great interview---I was most definitely a wait list candidate until my interview. It didn't hurt that my school selects the majority of their applicants from in-state, but that is another matter----Good Luck!
I also had interviews lined up at 3 other schools when I got my acceptance to CU.
