GPA verified, low BCP, low confidence

Hey guys,
I've been studying for the DAT for the past few months and taking it on August 2nd. I just got my GPA verified and realized that my BCP is extremely low. I don't want to lose confidence for this cycle but browsing through past forums my chances seem to be quite low since I'm applying somewhat late and now with a below average BCP. I have an upward trend in grades and listed on the app that I was under high stress in 2009 from financial stress/job loss in family.

GPA breakdown:
BCP: 2.82
sGPA: 3.20
non sci: 3.65
oGPA: 3.32

Is there still a chance?

lol I just asked a school about it today...matter a fact two schools. They said the ADEA made that section up and they don't use it in their decision making. They focus more on the Overall GPA and Science GPA....I wonder why all sites I've looked at doesn't stress emphasis on BCP gpa.

if you get a really high DAT if so yes...

If your DAT isn't really high....prolly not as much of a chance.

Your other numbers are respectable. If you have decent EC's, pick smartly, and manage to get a slightly above average DAT, you've got a shot. Roll them dice.

Study for the DAT like your life depends on it. People have got in with lower GPAs than you on predent, so don't count yourself out.

you should make sure your coursework matches up. I checked mine over and noticed 8 courses were classified as other science when they should have been biology.

That's really interesting and bad news in my case. Has anyone else heard of other schools doing this?

My school does the following
DAT
Pre-req GPA
Last 60 credits GPA
Sci Gpa
Over-all GPA

They don't do a BCP section. Although i guess the bcp is the pre-req gpa.
