I'm in my last year of pharmacy school (from a 0-6 program), so I went straight out of high school. I am considering taking a gap of 2-3 years, most likely working, and considering (so far just considering) going back to medical school. I will have to do a lot of research before I make my decision, but the one thing that's troublesome for me is my grades. I had developed severe depression/anxiety during pharmacy school and as a result didn't do as well as I could. I will also probably have to take a few undergrad classes, like physics, before applying. I've read some threads here and wondered how some of you managed with low grades or how you found ways to improve your GPA. I think my science GPA will be relatively above average, but my overall GPA was a bit low. I had an overall rough period during pschool and I think that really affected my grades. I'm looking forward to gaining more experience either through shadowing, EMT or research because I feel like I learn a lot more with the experience at hand.

The way to improve a low GPA is to retake classes in which you got bad grades and take new science classes. It's pretty simple really. Of course, that doesn't make it easy. You will also need your bachelor's degree before you can get into med school. If you didn't get one through pharm school, you'll need to do go to a 4-year college and get that taken care of before you apply.

Some med schools accept a pharmacy degree w/o a bachelors. I guess I may just take some of the pre-req classes or get an MPH, which was my plan anyway, med school or not.
