hey guys, i was just wondering if anybody knew whether most dental schools use ur plus/minus gpa or ur straight (not using the plus/minus system) gpa. cuz i know i have at least 6 minus grades, so i' know my gpa will jump up if the d-schools dont use plus/minus. also, i see ppl talking about their BCP gpa, what is that? thanks for any help

They use your +/- GPA. Sorry ...

math is not factored into your science gpa?

omar,

math *is* factored into your science gpa

There are 3 gpa calculated.

overall, bcp gpa, and science gpa

What is the +/- system?

If you look at the giant handbook that is published by the ADEA, they tell you how they calculate all of your grades.

http://www.adea.org/AADSAS/default.htm

In the applicants section....

Look at Downloadable Forms/Instructions. There is a table that says they calculate a 3.667 for an A-, etc. This could give you a rough estimate of your GPA.

Hope that helps.

Jessica

How does it affect your +/- gpa if you school doesn't give A+ only goes up to A.
