Do pod schools add both grades in when calculating your gpa? I failed orgo but then retook it so would they just count the 2nd grade?

There should be information about this in your application process. I don't have access to the site, but search around; it's there.

Taking the average of the two grades is the same as adding both to the final.

To answer your question aacpmas averages the 2 grades.

It might be 2.66 some places? I don't think that's what the OP meant though, of which I am clueless.

Like for instance my genetics class, I had a 76 or 77 overall and that was a 2.7 in the class.

the grading is off for your institution then because a 76 or a 77 is a C+ which is 2.30. If it shows up on your transcript as a b- then they will credit you with a 2.7. If you have a c+ then it will be credited at 2.3.

Edit: Does your school not give out letter grades but instead just assigns a GPA value for each class?

This is precisely why I can't stand GPA being used so heavily.

At my undergrad, a 69.5-79.4 is a C. No minuses, no pluses.
