Just curious, since you were waitlisted the first cycle, did you do anything in between cycles to improve your application? I'm just curious about how schools value that and take that into consideration. @Hopeandfaith22

Thank you! The only changes i made this time around was a new and more PERSONAL personal statement and i also got all new recommendation letters. This time around I made sure that the people writing my recommendations wrote actual letters in addition to filling out the recommendation form on OTCAS.

Placed on the wait list! Does anyone know how many people are actually on the wait list?

I'm sorry I do not know and they never told me when I asked (I was originally on the waitlist). But they are very helpful if you have other questions.

What school did you choose?

What school did you choose?
I decided to attend Sacred Heart in Connecticut. Overall, I had a really great experience visiting the campus and the interview process. They were informative and I felt like all my questions were addressed. I definitely saw myself succeeding there. ☺

I had a friend who did undergrad there, and she was happy with her time there (unfortunately when I asked her, she didn't know much about the OT program though). And you're not too far from NYC either. Another friend goes to undergrad in another college in Fairfield and visits a fair amount. Congrats on your choice, you'll love the Northeast! 🙂

Last year I applied to 4 programs but unfortunately didn't get in. However, I used the extra year to get more observation hours and write a stronger personal statement. I felt more confident this time around.

Hi! I'm from the Cleveland area too and accepted a spot for the Fall 2016 class, are you for sure going?

DON'T GO TO MILLIGAN COLLEGE. Unless you are a 1950's christian or a guy, they will bully you out of the program. Stay away from these terrible terrible people.

Oooh care to elaborate? I was a bit interested in the program due to the interests of the faculty but was 100% put off by all of the little rules that the college had about decency and alcohol and what not.

To be 100% honest here, I interviewed there and it was an interesting experience. I'm from northern PA and learned the true meaning of "bible belt". I said I didn't get in because I didn't have a Jesus Freak tattoo on my forehead. It was like a whole different world there.

I feel like traditional conservatism is pretty anti OT, ya know? If we're all about helping others with what they find meaningful, we shouldn't be judging others for their style or anything arbitrary. I'd be interested in hearing their argument as to why it's important for them not to be open...
