Hi all,
I'm not sure eif this question has been asked but I'll take a shot in the dark. How does the AMCAS handle repeated courses in which I took a course at School A which was on a 1 class= 1 Credit non-credit hour system and then transferred and took the same course at a school that operated on the credit hour system?
In my case, I took Bio at School A and got a C+ which equates to 2.3 grade points out of a possible 4. I retook the same, or rather an equivalent, course at the community college I'm at and got an A. This course was 4 Credit hours at the CC. Therefore, my A equates to 16 grade points out of a possible 16. so does this average out to a 3.66 (18.3 grade points/5 credit hours), a 3.15 (25.2 grade points/8 credit hours), or will they just be counted as two separate classes in my GPA calculation?
I hope someone can make sense of this, I tried my best to explain it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
