Hey all,

So I asked a very similar question recently about grade replacement that prompted this one. I got a c in gen Chen 1, called "Principles of Chemistry 1" at my undergrad four years ago as a freshmen. Now I'm taking "General Inorganic Chemistry 1" with the lab at a CC. I have like 100% in the class and am confident I'll pull out an A.

However, will AACOM allow me to replace "Principles of Chemistry 1" with "General Inorganic Chemistry 1"? They are labeled CHEM 110 and CHEM 101 respectively. They ARE the exact same class.. Both are not an intro to CHEM, both are the first gen CHEM class which preceded inorganic 2 (which I have an A in).

I'm really hoping I didn't waste my time and money on this course if it won't replace my past C in AACOM s eyes.. Any input is really helpful.

If you got A C i don't think it will completely grade replace it will average the two grades together and you will have a B. However, if you took Gen Chem at a university and then retook it at a CC it may not effect your GPA at all your university at all. Just your CC gpa. I would talk to your advisor to be sure but at my University. Thats how they do it.

Wth are you talking about? @psu228, nevermind the previous poster AACOMAS (for DO schools) will replace your general chemistry I class with the one you are currently in because both classes have the same course description and same amount of credit hours. No worries here.
