Hello SDN members
A quick question regarding the grade replacement policy. Does the grade replacement policy still keep the credits you earned on the first time you took the course? For example, say i took Biology 1 and got a C but still got the credit for it, i retook it and got an A, would that mean that i have 6 credits for biology? It doesn't specify this on the AACOMAS website.
Thank you

My understanding is that it does not. Assuming you're talking about a 4 credit biology class, you would not be able to get more than 4 credits for the class no matter how many times you (re)took it. Furthermore, if you got a C in a 4 credit biology class, you still have 4 biology credits. You would just have a value of 2/4 GPA points when calculating GPA. I guess this is a sort of confusing way to put it, so I'll put it this way: Biology 1 counts as 4 credits of biology no matter what if it is a 4 credit hour class. Retaking it would still leave you with 4 biology credits. You'll have to take an additional biology class to reach, say, 6 credits. Hope this helps!
