Hey Everyone,

First off, sorry if this was already asked before, but I didn't quite see this nuance on the threads I looked at.

But say Course A was initially 3 credits, and you replace it with Course B that is 5 credits.

Of course the letter grade changes, but does also the credit weighting change(from 3--> 5)?

IF so, this is great, cause I took two 3 credit physics course at my uni, and I want to replace them with identical courses from a different uni, but they're physics courses are 5 credits each. (I'm not sure why our's is only 3, for some reason we don't get extra credits for the lab portion, despite how much work it was!)

Thanks

Yes, but AACOMAS might not calculate it the way you think they will. I replaced Physics lecture (3) with Physics combined lecture + lab (4).

Can you clarify what you mean by AACOMAS not calculating like you think you would?

They might replace 3 credits and give you only those quality points instead of 5 replacement quality points.

Yah, that's what I assumed they'd do initially, I wonder if anyone can confirm this.

I figure replacing 6 credits of Physics with 10 credits, makes it like I get an additional 4 credits of A material 😉

But again, can't be greedy, happy they give the option to replace at all!

I'm pretty sure you get all the 10 credits because that's what you earned. It doesn't matter if it was initially 6.

Even better, I feel ripped off that my school doesn't include extra credits for the lab portion of the course. The Chemistry and Biology courses do, just not physics for some odd reason.
