I just finished a summer session at my college and recieved 2 science A's, which will both positively impact my GPA. I would like all the med schools to see my GPA with the new classes averaged in. How do I send an update of my new grades to AMCAS? Do I just send in updated transcripts? My application has already been fully processed. Anyone happen to know what I should do for TMDSAS as well? Thanks a bunch.

Hello there,

Most med schools won't pay attention to those two grades, since they are summer courses. Pretty much they won't make you or break you. But they will delay the process by about 10 days. I wouldn't do it.

I completely disagree. Who cares if you took 'em in the summer? Two A's are two A's regardless of the season in which they came. If you've already submitted your AMCAS, there's not much you can do in terms of adding the courses. You may want to consider sending an updated transcript to schools once you start filling out secondaries, etc. It can only help you, and you have nothing to lose by telling schools good news about your grades.
