Will a senior slide look really bad to the PT school that has accepted you? Ever since I was accepted, I find it really challenging to study long nights for classes that I have to take to finish off my degree in May. I'm not talking about getting C's and D's...I'm talking about getting all B's and maybe an A.

Did anyone else slide theier senior year a little bit before PT school?

I slide a bit in my last semester after acceptance. But I mean from 3.9s and 4.0s to 3.4 for my last semester. No one said a thing!

If you're accepted than they've already made up their mind. I've never heard of anyone getting a letter saying they are no longer accepted unless they didn't pass the class or get the degree. My guess is your fine and save your energy for PT school.

I think the slide won't matter a bit. It is liberating. Once I was accepted, I went to class and didn't take notes, just listened. Got a good grade in abnormal psych too. It was a fun class just to basically audit. Enjoy your last semesters in college. make sure you don't fail stuff because you still need to graduate.

some schools do specify that acceptance is conditional, and require that you get at least a B in any PT prereqs that are outstanding at the time of application.

Maybe this doesn't apply to the OP's DPT program, or maybe the OP has already completed the PT prereqs and is just finishing up random other courses needed for his/her degree. But just in general to anyone thinking about this--be careful! It does feel great to finally be able to breathe and relax a little...but you're so close! Don't relax too much and run the risk of screwing up what you've worked so hard for years to achieve.

congratulations on the acceptance! where are you going?
