Just wondering if your acceptance to a school is contingent upon how you do during your last year of undergrad before matriculating into dental school. For instance if you got accepted on Dec. 1, does the school say that you must maintain a certain gpa or get C's in all your classes or complete all the classes that you said you were gonna take on your AADSAS application? If you said you were gonna graduate do you have to get your degree? Just curious, I'm not planning on sluffing off my last year as an undergrad or anything. Thanks.

Yes that is very much true. You cant simply flunk out of all of your courses before matriculation. When you get accepted, you will recieve a contract of some sort stating that you will complete all planned coursework and maintain a respectable GPA.

i had a friend who got accepted to BU last year. he was told that as long as he got a grade of "C" in his courses that he would be ok.

i am not sure if they ask for a specific gpa.

Yes, I dont think they want a specific GPA, just respectability. So you cant go to class and day dream all day. But if all you need is a C, then maybe you can!!😀

i have taken million classes except for anatomy.

i have to take it next semester with the lab or esle indiana won't let me in. that is if they accept me to begin with.

i hate this course and i really hate going back to school for one class after graduating.

oh well!
anyways guys, hope you guys have a good evening. wish me luck on my interview at IND wed.

Perfect34,
Since you only need one class, go to a junior college. Call me, I can offer you advice on local schools and teachers. I'm taking it now... its killer, no joke!

Indiana requiring Anatomy is great. It might be a hard class, but trust me it donest even compare to Anatomy in dental school which is twice as hard, as we go into even more detail and dissect cadavers by ourselfs instead of a TA just showing you stuff. My 2 tops chiocies were Indiana (as I am from there) and Upenn, and I can tell you I am way ahead of most peple at Upenn in anatmony that havent taken it before.

Anyway back to the post. Upenn has you sign a contract that says they can deny admission if you get anything less than a c. So I basically got all C's. Iu on the other hand says you must maintain an average consistent with your prior semesters, which sounds a little scary.
