i will most likely be applying this year in June, but my school doesnt end until 2nd week of June, so i would have already applied by the time my grades come out

do grades even matter then? what about for the rest of the next year while i would be doing interviews and waiting for schools to reply...as long as you're pulling B's?
 
well you will probably have to wait and send your transcript after spring grades post.

And yes its expected you maintain the same academic level through your senior year
 
Grades REALLY matter until you get accepted to your top choice. After that you just have to pass with Cs or better 🙂

In very rare circumstances a conditional acceptance at some schools may be based on maintaing a certain GPA.

Grades matter for sure until the spring of your application year. They are aware of the senioritis phenomena when one is accepted, but I wouldn't let it slump. I was told point blank at 2 schools that they wanted to see my grades for the fall semester even though we were only in early October. If you happen to be waitlisted at your favorite school, don't let slacking prevent you from getting in.
