So I was accepted to my 2nd choice medical school this past month. With interview season going on, one of my high level bio class grades have deteriorated a little.

I think I may end up with anywhere from a C+ to a B in this class. The rest of my class grades are A to A-. my cGPA is 3.85. I just wanted to know if this low grade could result in my acceptance being rescinded. It my just be the neurotic part of me asking this question, but I still want to know.

Actually, you may want to check with the school, depending upon what your grade ends up being. One school that I'm holding an acceptance at says that if you get anything below a B after acceptance, they will re-review your application. Obviously, this doesn't really tell us how likely it is that you would have your acceptance rescinded upon re-review, but it's probably a good idea to know the exact policy at the school you hold an acceptance at.

One school has said that if you receive less than a B in any required course post-acceptance, they will need to re-review your file. More than likely, it won't be an issue for you, but it doesn't hurt to check the school's policy.

Jinx 😉 Bet we're talking about the same place.

There are like 50 of these posts at the end of every semester and I've never seen anyone come back and say "well crap guys, they took it away from me."

I do legitimately wonder how many people per year actually manage to LOSE an acceptance? Can't imagine it's higher than single digits nationwide....

Either way, getting above Bs should really not be a big problem if you managed it for the other 7+ semesters of undergrad. They will DEFINITELY not revoke an acceptance if you taper / stop a lot of your ECs, so just focus on academics and otherwise take it easy.

Looks like I won't be losing my acceptance, pulled off a B in the class.

Congratulations, nothing wrong with a B every now and then!

Just unusual seeing a B, but it beats alternative. It's hard to manage undergrad with flying around for interviews, missing some classes.
