Out of curiosity, how bad would I have to do post-acceptance in the fall semester to have an acceptance rescinded ?
Thanks
Thanks
Pretty bad. Are you concerned that you won't do well this semester for some reason? Acceptances are occasionally rescinded so if you have specific worries you may want to contact the school.
I don't think one C would be a deal breaker. If your semester GPA is in the 3.x's I would generally say you wouldn't have much to worry about.Eh. I'm taking 21 credits and I think I may get a C. I guess "do well" is relative.
Most schools tell you in your acceptance letter - like this a conditional acceptance and you must complete your degree getting a B or better in all classes. Mine said something to this effect.

So, what would your gpa be for the semester? And what would your cum and overall science gpa be?
Why are you taking 21 credits? Is there an unneeded class that can be dropped so that you won't get that C?
That said, a C shouldn't be a deal breaker.
I need all 21 to graduate

I would check with the school. I know someone who had an acceptance rescinded after receiving a C because it was in their acceptance letter that they could receive no lower than a B the last semester.
Was their gpa already borderline or was this a top school that expected all top grades? What school was this
A east coast DO school. They had a 3.8 GPA before the C, but their MCAT was pretty low which I believe is why they received that contingency.

What about the answers to the other questions?
Never heard of a MD school doing this, but maybe they do this too.
thats straight ridiculous. even with a borderline mcat. hope that person had another acceptance..
You need to check with each school's specific published policy on this issue, either on their website or in student handbook. Usually you need a C in each course, though some schools may require C+ or higher and you must finish current educational pursuits. You must read your acceptance agreement carefully.
