Ok another question about grading in general. What truly is the percentage of people who get honors in rotations, especially lengthy ones like IM and surgery? Because there have been few people who I've come across who have gotten many honors. Do most people just get "Pass"?

Industry standard seems to be honors is only given to the top 15-10% of the entire class based on clinical evaluations and test scores (usually shelf exams)

Exactly.

Everything from your rotation site to the demeanor of the attending on a given day can affect your grade.

Fair? No.

Reality? Yes.
