I just realized I was 90 days delinquent on a credit card account I closed. I paid it off immediately. However, the account only owed $12, and my credit score plummeted 100 points. Would I still be able to get a GradPlus loan without a co-signer at this point. My credit score plummeted from 750 to 630. A lot of inquiries will be removed in the upcoming 2 years, and I'm hoping to have no more missed payments. This is my only missed payments out of more than 100 on time payments on my credit report. (Coincedentally, my payment history is still classified as "good").

Can I maybe contact the card (Amex) to remove the late payment from my credit report, or if they can do it for a Pay to Delete fee.
