Hey all,
If you are a member of APS, you'll notice that they're holding nominations and applications for open student caucus positions.
I know those who have served on it will likely not want to post too much into detail because there are only a few who serve each year (and thus may be identified), but can anyone (including those who just hear about it) generally speak to the experience and whether or not it's worth it to apply?
I'm asking in regards to (1) actual experience gained (i.e., did it help you later on in your career?), (2) the weight it has on your CV (come on, everyone's thinking that 😀), if any (i.e., does it even help boost your internship or post-doc application?), and (3) whether or not it was worth your time (for one reason or another).
For those who don't know, the positions that are open are Communications and Marketing Officer, Graduate Advocate, Membership and Volunteers Officer, RISE Coordinator, Student Notebook Editor, and Undergraduate Advocate.
Thanks!
