Graduated - Need PreReqs

Hey,

I am applying to University of Michigan and they require Microbiology and Sociology as pre-reqs. However, I have already graduated and haven't taken those courses. I plan on taking them over the summer or in the Spring if I get accepted (assuming Dec. 1). Will this hurt me?

That is, will Michigan not even look at my app because they saw that I have already graduated and haven't met their requirements? How would I inform them that I plan on completing the Pre-Reqs after acceptance prior to matriculation?

Call them and tell them. Are you only applying to UofM? Other schools require Microbiology and Sociology too, so I would just take them in the fall so that when(well, if) they ask for a gpa update, they have that on record.

If you can take Microbiology this summer then you should (but if you haven't registered, I am not sure if you can now) since it is SCIENCE PRE-REQ and it is important. Sociology has less importance and finish it in the fall.
It also depends on how well you have done on other science courses. If you have done 4.0 in all other science courses then don't sweat it and take it in the fall but if you have average GPA then I urge you to take as soon as you can.

I'm missing these classes as well - microbiology and sociology. I already graduated this May so does anyone know how stringent they are about these requirements in terms of interviews/acceptances? I'd have no problem taking these at a later time if I decide to go here, but just wondering if they'd even look at my application, since I'm missing these two courses?

It won't prevent you from an interview or acceptance.
