Graduated w/o Prereqs. Build schedule starting in Spring

You don't have to be a genius in order to be successful. Take classes which give you a solid foundation to build upon. If that means taking algebra, then take it. If it means taking a lower division biology class that teaches the basics, then take it. You definitely don't want to jump right in and take chemistry and biology, only to struggle and either drop the class and get a W or get a low grade. Best of luck

Well, I am planning on taking Bio101 and Chem101 before Organic Chemistry, but I'm just wondering what a good schedule of classes would look like. I'd like to be able to apply next fall. Is this unrealistic?

Would 16 hours be stupid?

I'm thinking:

BioI
ChemI
PhysicsI
Maybe Anatomy & Physiology or Calculus (which I've failed once before, but could have worked harder + it was during a summer session).

it would depend if its semester system or quarter, how long it is the winter and summer semester. Although you can apply w/o having all the prereqs done and send them progress report (which I have no idea how that works).

check out the drexel medical evening post-bacc program website. the program gives you all the prereqs in a good order add a calc or trig class as well as biochem. look at the websites of the dental schools you would be interested in attending to see what their requirements include. good luck!

How are you going to apply next fall if you haven't taken any prereqs? At a minimum you will need to take a year of BIO, CHEM, and ORGO. Don't you think you'll be in over your head if you're taking all these classes together (you'll need to if you want to apply next year and take the DAT)? Your best shot is to apply in 2012 and spread your classes out
