I know there are a lot of opinions on updates to schools, but given the proximity to May 15th I was hoping to update a couple schools (Unranked waitlists). Is graduating from a Master's Program significant enough? If I don't have much else to say would it be better to say nothing at all?

If you are holding no MD acceptances, no.

Thanks for the reply. I am holding a number of acceptances at slightly lower ranked schools (Have withdrawn all but one at this point). Does that change anything?

If a reasonable person would presume that someone accepted to the school where you are holding would prefer the school where you are on the waitlist, the update is superfluous. If the school where you are holding is cheaper, though, it is ok to let the waitlist school know that you would happily matriculate if offered the chance.

The MS or MA degree doesnt do much good. Better off writing a letter of intent

At this point, IMHO, it never hurts to let the schools know that you are still interested. Schools want to make one call, not 10, to fill an opening and, sad to say, some people forget to withdraw from schools where they are on the waiting list, even after they have moved on.
