Hi there! I have a quick question, I will be applying and taking my DAT next year.. and most likely I will be graduating next May too. But the problem is that, I just found out that the class I need to graduate (comparative vertebrate anatomy) is not offered in the spring semester anymore and so I need to replace it with another class. I know CVA is one of the recommended classes on the dental school list and I haven't taken any upper level anatomy classes either. My question is that, do you guys think it is better to drag it out another semester so I can take CVA and more science classes and graduate Fall 07, or should I just take Cell phys and human phys next spring and just grad. in may? I don't mind dragging it out another semester, but I don't want dental schools to think i am dragging it out b/c I can't handle the hours. So far all the science classes I have taken are:

Genetics
Zoology
Microbiology
Pathophysiology
Biochemistry

Was going to take human phys and CVA in spring 07, but now only human phys is offered.. thinking about taking Cell phys and human phys and just grad in spring. If I decide to drag it out to fall 07, I am thinking of taking Human phys, Biochem 2, CVA, and Immunology. I asked my advisor about this and she said it's up to me.. I also asked the pre-dental advisor and he also said it's up to me.. but I don't know what to do and so I would like to ask for some suggestions. Thank you guys!

Ummm..I think you're way good!! I don't even have close to what you have now just maybe two of them and now taking a few more of them..you're good to go..

I've had friends that get their degree in May and then instead of taking a year off, they enroll in a couple of classes. You could do that if you wanted to take CVA. It's one of the best courses I ever took.

CVA = high RC score

Most poeple I know apply way before they graduate, like at least 1 year. You will have a year to get in all these classes you want/need.

Apply early next may, and just coast it out!

Good Luck

thanks guys! I think i am leaning towards graduating in fall 07 b/c I realized that if I grad. in May, I think when i come back for school in the fall and take some classes, I have to pay out of my own pocket for everything.. and so.. oh well. Thanks again though.
